One Major Cause Of Lower Back Pain

There are of course many causes that may contribute to lower back pain. Today let's focus on an all too common cause, and that is overweight.

Your body is built to comfortably carry a certain weight depending on your height and the size of your frame. If you allow yourself to exceed your normal weight your body will naturally be placed under a strain. The first area of your body that will most likely suffer from the strain of carry all of the extra weight will be your lower back.

The Long Term Remedy
The long term remedy may be obvious: find a diet that works for you and stick with it. While this is true, you also will be looking for some instant (or at least short term) relief.

Some Immediate Relief

Here is a tip that I picked up from Graeme Teague in one of his articles on ezinearticles.com:

Graeme says:
There is an Acupressure point on the inside of your ankle which will help with back pain no matter where it is. All you do is place a knuckle or your finger tip between your inner ankle bone and Achilles tendon (the large tendon running from your heel bone to calf muscle).

Apply pressure, rub in that circular motion for 20 seconds, relax and repeat a few more times. This should help to reduce pain and will even help muscles relax.
